Homer Air offers you the opportunity of a lifetime to visit the Alaska Coastal Brown Bear in their natural environment. We‘ll fly you through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, past active volcanoes, glaciers and snow-capped mountains to the largest concentration of brown bears on Earth. After landing on an ocean beach and stepping out of the bush plane, you’ll become a guest in their home.
With a guide at your side you will walk along the beaches and meadows where brown bear are frequently observed living naturally in their secluded, wilderness habitat. Witness bear fishing, digging for clams, grubbing for roots and grasses, socializing and raising their young.
Along with these magnificent bears you will have an opportunity to view other wildlife, neighbors of the bears that share the same remote habitat. Bear Viewing Day Trip in Katmai
On our wildlife viewing day trips we depart from Homer Airport for a brief flight to one of the most amazing areas of the world. You’ll then spend the day on the beach in prime bear habitat, with a backdrop of majestic mountains and coastal landscapes. Your memories and photos will be astounding. We then return the same day allowing you and your family to enjoy the many other aspects of Homer that make it a prime destination for travelers. Day trips may be available for either morning or afternoon departures.

Homer Air offers the option of combining two of our most popular tours into one trip. Not only is it cheaper but also takes less time than taking both tours separately. On route to wondrous wildlife viewing, we’ll swing wide for a close-up look at the active, Mount Augustine volcano. You’ll return feeling fulfilled, with descriptions of the land and animals, not to mention unbelievable photos, to share with family and friends.
Air Trekking Overnight Bear Viewing Tour

Homer Air can arrange overnight camping on a beach or offshore island for those who want to spend more time in the nearby national parks and in our secluded, Alaska frontier. If you, your family or friends would enjoy camping in the coastal wilderness of Alaska with your bush pilot and guide, this is the opportunity you’ve been dreaming about. Overnight trips provide ample time to explore the vast landscape, like trekking through the air, descending on different locations along the coast of the national parks to day hike and camp where we like, safety permitting. Here are some helpful tips and information to help make the most of your wildlife viewing tour with Homer Air. Our goal is for you to get the most enjoyment out of your trip.
Deposit and refund policy
1. At the time of booking a flight tour a valid credit card number is required in order to secure the reservation(s). This credit card will not be charged until the day that the tour is scheduled to depart.
2. You can cancel the reservation for any reason up to 30 days prior to the scheduled date of the tour without any charges but if a reservation is cancelled within 30 days of the scheduled date of the tour Homer Air will charge the full price of the reserved tour to your credit card.
3. If Homer Air cancels the flight due to inclement weather, unforeseen mechanical problems or any other reason there will be no charges to your credit card.
